Ashley Kahn is the author of Kind of Blue: Miles Davis and the Making of a Masterpiece, A Love Supreme: The Creation of John Coltrane's Classic Album and The House That Trane Built: The Story of Impulse Records, and the co-author of Carlos Santana's autobiography, The Universal Tone: Bringing My Story to Light. He served as primary editor of Rolling Stone: The Seventies and has contributed articles to the New York Times, Rolling Stone, Mojo and many other publications. He also teaches at New York University's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music. More about the author
